When life smashes you in the balls

More often than not, as humans, we end up doing things we shouldn’t do or things we claim are not right to our very own jurisdiction. We realize these because many of us have goals, New Year resolutions, and a few of us a to-do list. All these are needed to keep us in check when we fall out of line, which we tend to do every now and then… Many people go the hard way- we beat ourselves, blame factors around us, and rant about always falling. And just a few, a few of us tend to put things under control by realizing the wrong deed that was done by talking things through, motivating ourselves when things are down, and moving on to becoming a better person.

Either way, our temperament most times does get the best out of us. Not everyone has control over different mischief’s that happens in their lives but how we react to these mistakes or shortcomings, how we manage and control them abruptly determines the way our lives would be tomorrow… not the next morning you’re having a meeting at work or by noon in which you plan on having brunch. Tomorrow in this context are things unforeseen, decades of years to come. Someone once said maybe, maybe we are not meant to know what the future entails is the sole reason why the earth is spherical and not flat. So we keep going in circles and we never get to see what is going to happen down the road.

In a very weird way, I buy that idea. I can’t imagine people knowing today how messy or crumbled their lives would be or how flourishing and seemingly good life would treat them in years to come. Living itself wouldn’t be worth living then…things would be better off if you’ve just ended your foreseen miserable life now than wait to be tormented by life itself. And those with a perfect future would almost not even put the same pressure they are putting now.

So what exactly are you to do when life smashes you right in the balls? Scream? of course you would. It’s your balls we’re talking of. Author Joshua J. Marine has a famous quote on this: “Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful”. You literally have one thing to do no matter how sanguine or choleric you may be. OVERCOME! This might be the most succinct answer to all your aches. Life won’t hand over things you want so bad to you easily. You have to strive towards it, fight for it even when you’re down with pains and regrets from the previous attempts. Blaming people or factors around you won’t do you any good. You’ve fallen! Admit that fact, so rise up and get going again. You never can tell; it might be your last attempt achieving what you’ve ever wanted...
